Charlottesville’s new Downtown Transit Center reinforces the city’s commitment to sustainability by becoming the first LEED Gold-certified municipal building in Virginia. Designed by Wallace, Roberts & Todd of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the building’s sustainable aspects include locally produced materials, recycled content materials, low-emitting materials and energy and water saving features. Pye Interiors selected furnishings to compliment this contemporary and innovative structure and continue the sustainable story of recycled content and low emitting materials.
