The transformation of this former textile mill into the corporate headquarters for The OakCrest Companies was done with sustainability as a major focus. Preserving as much of the original building meant purchasing fewer new materials and keeping construction debris to a minimum. When it was determined that the original floors would need to be replaced, salvaged flooring from a mill in Georgia was purchased in lieu of new. Lyptus wood, chosen for its characteristic as a rapidly renewable material, was selected for use in all of the new millwork.
