At the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce, furniture was chosen with sustainability in mind. The Reading Room tables and chairs were manufactured within 500 miles of the project site, contributing toward the “Regional Material” LEED point. Also, the water-based stain and top-coat system meets the certification for ANSI BIFMA and therefore contributes toward “Low Emitting Materials.”
